As a native Cuban I grew-up appreciating the simple joys of food and conviviality centered around the family table, so here at AG Kitchen you’ll find the food I enjoy cooking and eating with my friends and family. It’s my take on American and Latin classic comfort food. There’s my signature ceviches, and other starters and salads, a collection of burgers done my way, a delicious take on Roasted Chicken served Brazilian style, plus a paella style dish for 1 or more and mix and match surf and turf. It’s always a dinner party at A.G. Kitchen.

Much like A.G. Kitchen, the restaurant and lounge, which opened in Throgs Neck in January, is Latin-influenced and has quickly become the neighborhood’s go-to dining spot.

It doesn’t matter if he’s whipping up Baja fish tacos at A.G. Kitchen or pabellon criollo (a season ed shredded beef dish) at Babalu, “the reason we have great food is because everything is oriented around family,” he says.

We would have ordered another round of drinks of someone stopped by even. We sat at the table next to the kitchen, which seemed to never be in anyone's vision.
